What are the basic fouls in Rugby?

I enjoy watching Rugby and know the basic rules but i have no idea what's wrong when the Ref calls a foul! i was wondering if anyone can give me a run down of the most common fouls and a bit of an explanation please?

  1. Knock on.. when the ball goes forward off your hand/arm/body.

    (Accidentally..scrum,

    deliberately..penalty.)

    forward pass.. when you pass the ball forward to your teamate.

    Stamping...on an opponent.(serious).

    If you get tackled and you're on the floor,you MUST release the ball.

    If you tackle an opponent you must not prevent him from getting up.

    You must not tackle the opponent at neck level or above.

    You must not tackle an opponent while he's in the air.

    These are the most common apart from offside which is basically being between the ball and the opponents' try line.

    There are more and technical rules but that's enough to be going on with.Enjoy.
