  1. If you are starting then no dont invest in mac products etc.

I'd go for covergirl of maybeline as well.

    I would get

1 powder (skip liquid foundation unless you need it. A powder should be fine, you could get a concealer if you like as well. I like loreals tru blend or whatever it is :P but it works very well)

1 neutral 2-3 eyeshadow comapact (covergirl has good ones)

    black mascara (skip the brown)

eyelash curler!!! (instantly gives you a lift and makes you apear more awake)

    brown eyeliner

    lipgloss

    and voila!!

    you're set :)

  2. i like n.y.c.-- new york color (available at all drugstores+target) they have really nice lipgloss and eyeshadow for a cheap price.

i also like RIMMEL london colour rush trio eyeshadows. they arent very expensive. (available at k-mart+all drugstores.)

i would maybe try a simple mascara- GREAT LASH works well for begginers(available at all drugstores+grocery stores)

and any cheap eyeliner should complete a simple make-up kit.

  3. Clinique!

Naturally Glossy Mascara in jet brown for light-medium, jet black for dark

Superbalm Gloss (if you like lip gloss, if not try original burt's bees)

Almost Powder Makeup w/ SPF 15 (its compared to bare minerals, very natural.  Use a medium to large brush to apply, you can get reasonable priced brushes at the pharmacy)

The specialist at the counter can help you with colors to compliment your skin tone, there are Clinique counters at most major department stores.

  4. If your complexion is good & you don't need a foundation. which i recommend minerals, not those seen on tv- then just a mascara & a little cheek color & lip color that match in tones & hues with what you're wearing.

  5. mascara (maybelline) and lip gloss

  6. eyeshadow-maybelline

    lipgloss-covergirl

    mascara-covergirl

    blush-maybelline

  7. First of all, if you are going to wear a minimal amount of makeup, you wouldn't want to buy the more expensive brands.  I would go with a drugstore brand like Cover Girl, Maybelline, Rimmel or Revlon.  Then, you would want to get mascara, a light pink or taupe eye shadow and a peachy or light pink/natural lip gloss.  All of the above brands make a long lasting gloss or lipstick for your lips so you don't have to re-apply all of the time.  If you find you want to brighten up your eyes after you have gone minimal for a while, you can add eyeliner and more, darker eye shadow.  If you have a good complexion, I'd stay away from any foundation whatsoever and let your natural beauty glow.

  8. Basics:

    eyeliner

    mascara

    maybe eyeshadow

(and lip gloss, but I don't count that as makeup....)

    Brands:

    Dior

    Chanel

    Tarte (eyeshadow and liner only)

    Too Faced (mascara only)

    Benefit

    MAC

    I hope this helps!

  9. Maybelline and covergirl are the brands I would start looking at because its good makeup you can find anywhere.  I would start out with mascara, a light blush, some light eyeshadow, and lip gloss.  It will look great and good luck!

  10. Mascara and lip gloss are the basics!! For mascara I recommend Maybelline Great Lash!!
