What are the basic makeup products?

Essential Makeup Products?

OK. i was just thinking about makeup products and different types of cosmetics and i forgot what the essentials are. i need to know because i was thinking about what makeup to get for back-to-school. if you could, please list the basics ( iknow foundation, concealer, lip stick, ) but i cant remember any thing else. Plus, seeing it written is easier than remembering. also if you would like, you could seperately list good, inexpensive brands for cosmetics. or do a splurge vs steal kinda thing. thanks so much!

foundation: neutrogena and revlon are really good

eyeshadow: covergirl, maxfactor for bright shades

eyeliner: revlon (they make a 16 hour, waterproof eyeliner)

mascara: COVERGIRL LASH BLAST MASCARA ( best mascara, hands down)

blush/bronzer: covergirl is great, but if you have a Sally's near you get it there

I would say to be totally thorough that you'd need

-Face & Body Prep (Moisturizer)

-Makeup Primer

-Concealer

-Good Foundation (I recommend MAC)

-A powder if your foundation is liquid

-Blush (& Bronzer if you use it)

-Eyeshadows of course

-Eyeliners (in many colors and not just black or brown)

-Eyelash Curler & Mascara (Maybelline's Great Lash is cheap&very good)

-Eyebrow Pencil

-Lipliner & Lipstick

-Lip balm or Lipgloss

An essential also would be good brushes! MAC to me has the best ones, you dont have to get all of their brushes cuz its really pricey but if you do get some I'd say get the #239, #66, & #217 for the eyes and #187 for foundation, powder, & blush..

what u said (maybe substituting lipstick for lip gloss sometimes) and then...

mascara--lash exact by covergirl is cheap but really good--and drugstore will sell it

blush--mac or covergirl

(and lip gloss/lipstick)

thats basically what u need day to day

then if u want a little bit more

eyeshadow

eyeliner (liquid or pencil)

eye shimmer (really light so u can barely see it)

i think you should have all of those atleastt

foundation/concealer - NARS (expensive, but way worth it) found at sephora

powder/bronzer - NARS (expensive, but lasts soo long) found at sephora

eyeliner - STILA (Kim Kardashian's fav) works great, $16.50

mascara - DiorShow (LOVE IT! sephoras best seller) $24

lipgloss - MAC or NARS lipgloss

eyeshadow - MAC is awesome $14 each.
