  1. i have parents that foster and have for 20 years they have seen many children get adopted, they dont really have a specific rule only that you will care for the child and love it like your own, however please tread carefully as a lot of adoptions fall through because the parents didn't put enough thought into what would be expected of them... good luck

  2. lmao i love you sunny lol. two thumbs up!!!

    -you need to be sain

-you need to understand that no matter what you do you are not that childs birth parent so don't lie and say you are

-you need to care about the child not weather or not you got a girl or a boy

-you need to adopt from america because no one else wants to because we cost too much

-you need to be honest no matter hoe much it hurts

-you need to help them look when and if they are ready without making them feel bad for looking.

there ar eplenty more but if you're not willing to do everything on this list then you already don't need to. if you are then i welcome you. we get overlooked because we were meant to be someone elses joy. they lie and tell you we're happy but we aren't and then they get mad at us because we aren't. just always keep and open and completely honest relationship with them. please!!!! whatever you do.

  3. The requirements vary by country.  Here are some general guidelines:

    1)  Required to be at least 21 and preference given to couples under 40.

    2)  Suitable home environment (home study required).  This usually means clean and neat with a child's bedroom separate from the parents.  The child can share a bedroom with another child if the room is big enough and has adequate closet space.  Also means that proper supervision of child in place...either one parent stays at home or nanny or part time day care arranged, etc.

    3)  Suitable financials.  You don't have to be wealthy but you must be stable....good income to debt ratio, good employment history, etc.

    4)  Pass criminal background check...this includes DUI's which can prevent some countries from approving you for adoption.

    5)  Some countries also look at BMI (Body mass index).  Yes, its true.  Some countries will not allow obese parents to adopt.

  4. Depends a lot on what type of adoption you are thinking of.

For foster children, you just need love and a place for them to sleep.

For domestic newborn, you need money and probably have to be in your 30's because it's usually a younger woman picking the adoptive parents and they think 40's are too old.

For International adoptions, every country has different rules.

No matter which type you choose, you will need a homestudy and fill out lots of paperwork and patience because it takes time.

  5. Firstly, lots of patience - it takes some time to adopt.  Also, your BMI has to be within a certain range..  I had to lose two stone before we could adopt.....

  6. The adoption laws and requirements vary from state to state and even then from agency to agency (requirements).  The agency we adopted through requires at least age 21 and married for at least 2 years.  You will have to do a homestudy no matter which agency you go through and that will include background checks, interviews and a lot of paperwork.  You don't have to be rich, but they do make sure that you have the financial stability to provide for a child.  Good luck to you!

  7. Umm,  I think it's just a heartbeat and a big bank account.

  8. know how much its gonna cost .that you are ready to give up everything else ,know that it could put real friction on your partnership,do you really want to adopt for the right reason?

  9. Depends where you live.  Where do you live?  There are loads of websites out there and support groups.

Highly recommend reecesrainbow.com  if you are looking for an international adoption.
