  1. It must have originated from an organic (or living) source.


  2. Probably similar to the requirements of organic produce.  Although certified organic and labelled as organic are different things.  In order for produce to be USDA approved organic it must be grown on soil that has used completely organic growing methods for three years or more (no artificial pesticides, fertilizers, etc).  Basically the first answer is right, coming from an organic source and not containing any man-made ingredients

  3. Organic fertilizer must not have been synthesized in any way, i.e it has to be in a raw state.
