    It is Pretty simple really

    The scooter sets the pace (none allowed past), slowly increasing speed, it pulls off when it gets to a set speed. (usually around 50 km/h)  The riders then sprint home; first one over the line wins.

    Pace can be set by anything, another rider a tandem or a motor bike. They use an belt driven electric scooter in mostly as the chances of dropping oil are greatly reduced.
