  1. basic skills can be serving, bumping(digging), setting and spiking. There are a few types of service--the overhead, underhand and jump. Begginers are reccomended to try the underhand. Blocking is an elementary skill but can be very useful.

  2. serving, passing, setting, hitting.

then theres learning the rules, tumbling, diving, and all the little tricks you can throw in there.

  3. The basic skills of volleyball are simple. They are:

1- bump: that's when you have your arms together where you thumbs meet below your head and you hit the ball upward.

2- set: you have both hands above your head and push the ball upward, you have to have both hands on the ball at the same time.

3- hit: that's when you hit the ball as hard as possible, this is the easiest part.

4- serve: you have to be able to serve the ball over the net once your team gets a point, or the other team will get a point.

    I hope I helped you.

  4. bumping, setting, attacking(spiking/hitting), serving, and blocking..

but with each of these there are more..

when bumping you want to make sure you can pass the ball to your setter but at the same time.. place it high enough so your setter can get a go set off it...

when setting you want to set the ball high enough so your attacker can get a good hit on the ball and kill it..

when killing the you want you want to have a good approach and have good contact with the ball and swing through and and snap your wrist.

Servering.. when you serve you really want to be able to place the ball where there is a whole or a "weak player"... you want a nice hard hit.. but not too hard cuz you want to keep the ball on the court..

with blocking you have to remember when you make contact with the ball that you push back....

and then there is digging.. if you really want to be a good volleyball player you have to be able to dig the other teams kills..

you have to remember to stay, low always be on your toes.. and be ready for every ball not just the balls that are coming directly toward you.. you HAVE to mover your feet!!

  5. serving(different types), passing, setting, hitting(spiking(different types, due to the type of position you play), digging(defensive specialist)

  6. bumping setting hitting serving and blocking (blocking is when u actually learn how to play) if anyone tells u otherwise they are dumb

  7. Bumping, setting, some sort of spiking or attacking. There's also digging and serving which may or may not be considered basics.
