  2. shipping products overseas:

    ========================

    1. Sign in to the Store Manager for the store with a Yahoo! ID that does have access to the store.

    2. Click "Foreign Orders" within the Order Settings section. This takes you to the Foreign Orders page

    The countries you choose on this page show up on the Country drop-down menu on the Shipping Form checkout page.

    When you are finished, click "Update". This takes you back to the Store Manager. You will need to publish your order settings to publish the changes to your "Country" field in checkout.

    Blocking fraudulent orders:

    =====================

    You can use the order page to flag transactions as fraudulent. These options provide accurate reporting and order tracking. A fraudulent order is an order placed by a person whose identity or payment information is misleading or misrepresented. An order placed by an individual who has no intention of paying may also be considered fraudulent.

    You can mark a fraudulent order "Fraudulent" in your Store Manager in order to remove it from your revenue share calculation.

    After you receive an order, you have 90 days to mark it "Fraudulent." Billing for revenue-share occurs on a monthly basis, so if you've already been billed for revenue-share that includes an order you've since marked as Returned, Cancelled, or Fraudulent, a credit will be applied in the next month's billing. To do this, take the following steps:

    1. Sign in to your Store Manager page.

    2. Click the "Orders" link under the Process column.

    3. Enter the order number for the order you want to view and click on the "View" button.

    4. In the Mark Order section, select the "Fraudulent" button.

    5. Click on "Update."

    Helmut, the IP Blocking feature is intended to aid merchants in blocking fraudulent orders mainly due to "carding"—the practice of testing stolen or generated credit card numbers in checkout. Fraudsters can set up scripts to automatically run through your checkout process until an order is accepted. Oftentimes this allows fraudsters to determine if the credit card information is valid. Once fraudsters have valid information they may place orders on your store and others. To learn about signs of suspected orders, please visit:

    You can choose to block a range of IP addresses as well as blocking individual IP addresses. The IP Blocking feature allows you to block individual IP addresses or a range of addresses. Merchants can access the IP Blocking feature from the individual order review page or from the IP Blocking page within Risk Tools. From the IP Blocking page, merchants can look up information for suspect orders and IP addresses using reverse DNS lookup.

    To block a range of IP addresses from the IP Blocking page:

    1. From the Store Manager, click the "Risk Tools" link appearing in the Order Settings column.

    2. Click the "IP Blocking" link.

    3. Enter the range of IP addresses in a valid format that you wish to add to the IP Address field:

    - Netrangefor example 216.109.112.0-135 blocks all IP addresses between 216.109.112.0 and 216.109.112.135. The hyphen to indicate a range can only appear within the last octet (number) of the IP address. Use this method when you have a very specific range of IP addresses you wish to block.

    - CIDRfor example 216.109.112.0/24 blocks all 256 IP addresses between 216.109.112.0 and 216.109.112.255. Use this method when you have a much larger range of IP addresses you wish to block such as countries or organizations.

    4. If you wish to block further orders from all IP addresses within the range, click the "Add" button.

    (The IP address now appears in the IP Block List)

    5. Click "Done".

    You can also enter up to ten IP addresses (or ranges) to be added at one time, however you can only lookup information on a single IP address at one time. We strongly recommend reviewing reverse DNS lookup information along with the order information for possible signs of fraud for each IP address (or range) you wish to add so you do not inadvertently block legitimate buyers. You will only be able to tell if legitimate buyers are blocked if they contact you after seeing checkout not available error page. You can then decide whether to remove the IP address from the IP Block List or process the order manually.

    Note: Yahoo! provides the IP address blocking feature to Yahoo! Merchant Solutions and Store merchants to be used at the merchants' discretion.  Merchants should carefully review the Reverse DNS Lookup information provided before blocking any IP address, as IP addresses may be dynamically assigned to users by certain Internet Service Providers possibly blocking legitimate buyers and not ensuring the fraudster is blocked from ordering. Also, as IP addresses may be falsified, merchants are advised to use AVS and CVV responses to determine which orders to approve, reject, or follow up with the issuing bank.
