  1. Benefits - they can understand the technical parts of the business and work well with engineers and they are able to understand more often than not what is going on in ways that understanding how things work and then be able to find way to increase efficiency.

    Drawbacks- they are not usually able to sell very well and this can cause problems in understanding sales people and they are not able to jump in and be the top sales person in a majority of cases.
