  1. The satisfaction and delight in educating small children.  Beyond that, if you're expecting health care or a retirement plan, chose another career path.

  2. Getting that hug from that child who you tried so hard with all day. That good-bye hug at the end of the day knowing that you are strong enough to come back the next day for that morning hug.  Knowing that you have done your best in preparing a child for success.

  3. Besides the obvious facts, it depends on what kind of preschool you are talking about. If you are talking about daycare, not much, although some of the larger chains, like La Petite Academy and Kindercare, offer medical insurance and 401K's, as well as paid vacation time. If you are talking Pre-K, in a public school setting, you are offered a 402B, like a 401K, and are given GREAT health insurance and paid vacation.

  4. The love you get from your children....seeing them grow and learn.lve taught pre school for over 30 years..and its great...go for it!!

  5. Watching children grow into independance beings, being part of their daily learning experience, the love you receive from them, knowing you were part of educating these wonderful children and hope you gave them the tools they need for further schooling. Plus kids give the best cuddles!

  6. Being greeted every morning with a hug and a smile!

Watching these little people grow and become more enthusiastic each day about reading books, singing songs and discovering who they are.

I taught High school and Middle school for many years and I have to say that I have never had so much fun as I do now with these little 4 and 5 year olds.
