What are the benefits of Daily Wear contect lenses?

I'm going to my regular eye doctor appointment in a few weeks, and I'm thinking about switching to Daily Wear contact lenses--the type you throw away after you wear them just one day. I currently wear two-week lenses. Although I've never had a serious problem with those, I don't always find them super comfortable, and I've heard good things about Daily Wear lenses. So anyway...

For those of you who already have Daily Wear lenses, would you reccomend them?

What if you have to take your lenses out in the middle of the day for some reason? Can you store them in solution just for a few hours?

Can I rinse them with plain saline before insertion, to make them more comfortable?

  1. Proclear 1 day, it is great man. the ebst dailies lenses i even tried before. Not recommended.

  2. Do LASIK surgery and get away from contacts.

  3. First of all , none of the contact lens companies have developed a new lens to be the daily wear.

All the daily wear lenses are the same as their 2 week lenses  but packaged differently for the convenience of not needing solutions.

    They are the identical lenses.

So, yes, you can take them out and put them in solution for a few hours during the day...you can also keep it for 2 weeks if you wanted to.

The Acuvue daily lenses are 42% etafilcon and 58% water...guess what the 2 week Acuvue 2 lenses are...yep...exactly the same material and water content.

They are just packaged differently for the convenience, not because they are different.
