Question:

What are the benefits of a raw diet?

Im already a vegetarian and [I know it sounds kinda stupid], but Im a semi-vegan too. [I drink soy milk, not regular. And no eggs. The only thing I have that comes from animals is an OCCASIONAL dessert item that might include dairy].

Anyways, I was thinking about making the transition to a raw vegan diet [totally vegan, no occasionally dairy desserts, haha]. Do you think this is a good idea? What are the benefits of a raw vegan diet? Any suggestions or recipies?

Thanks lots! :]

  1. too many categories are made these days, and too many people want to belong to a certain group.  If you would like to become a vegan (fully) go for it.  When it comes to the raw diets, I don't get it.  I have also heard of people that only eat fruit.  WTF.  If you want to incorporate more raw foods great, but saying you will only eat raw foods is a bit out there.  GOOD LUCK!

  2. More power to you....I say go for it. What can you loose but 5...10lbs? Sounds good.  But why bother.  It is hard. My guess is that the benefits would be better to stick with a vegan diet instead or going raw. But is is your choice.  Gotta eat alot of beans and people do loose a lot of weight on the raw diet, so I hope you want to loose weight cause you will.

  3. What we can get in raw food is actually very very beneficial....

    ENZYMES!
