  1. Benefits

Plant based foods are high in phytonutrients, dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals.

    - Minimize risk of coronary heart disease.

    - Reduced risk of hypertension (high blood pressure)

    - Lower total and LDL cholesterol levels

    - Lower body weight and reduced risk for obesity

    - Reduced risk of certain cancers (like colon and breast)

    - Reduced risk of diverticular disease and digestive disorders

    - Increased longevity

Vegetarian diets must be mindful of possible nutritional deficiencies of quallity proteins, iron, vitamin B12, zinc, Omega 3, calcium and vitamin D.

  2. you get to feel good about not eating animals, and you dont need to worry about geting all the diseases associated with the meats

  3. There will be more bacon left for me. Yum.

  4. 1. Your health will sky-rocket on a well balanced vegetarian diet. Vegetarians live longer than people who eat meat on a regular basis

    2. You will have more energy

    3. It's good for the environment

    4. You save 100 animals a year

A diet high consisting of raw fruits and veggies, nuts, soy foods, and beans(as well as organic dairy products if your not vegan) is the most natural diet for humans which are in fact herbivores.

  5. Keep healthy

Keep young, I know someone who is vegetarian since he was born. Now he is 70 old but he definetely looks like 50 years old.

    Have a good skin.

  6. well im a vegeterian and i can promise you ill never go back to eating meat and eggs

theres lots of good things when you become a full vegeterian

the first is that you have limited food choice and so that means you wont be fat

you have a good feeling that no animal will die

if you go on youtube and search for slaughterhouse, you might become a vegeterian right away.

by the way, if you travel, make sure you plan ahead and ask for vegeterian food on the airplane

ps, someday, ill be a vegan..

  7. I have been a vegetarian by choice since age five and I have found it to be incredibly rewarding. The consumption of red meat can contribute to obesity, heart disease, high cholesterol and cancer. Not eating meat makes it easier to maintain lower cholesterol, low blood pessure, general good health and a healthy weight as well. Though it can be tough to find options in restaurants (I don't eat cheese because of rennet; gelatin or carmine), often times chefs will be very accomodating if you ask for something special (tofu or just plain pasta, for instance). Being a vegetarian is also great for the environment, as you are eating directly what would be feeding livestock that would eat it and create unnecessary waste. And knowing that you are not contributing to the suffering of innocent animals is always a nice feeling. Being vegetarian is not for everyone, but if you can manage to get enough protein (tofu, tempeh, beans, nuts, milk and grains are great sources) and other essential nutrients (B vitamins in particular), it can be a very rewarding way of life, for both body and mind.

  8. Well, if you have religious or personal ethical objections to consuming meat, then you can feel better about not eating it.

Otherwise, you're less likely to have heart disease and some types of cancer, you're less likely to be obese, you're more likely to have healthy cholesterol levels and blood pressure.

    It's better for the environment.

I think it tastes better. You definitely get to eat more food, since plants are less energy-dense for the most part.

  9. You get to look pastey and not eat delicious food.  SOUNDS GREAT!
