  1. yas if you join a homeschool group you can take classes that will help you earn points.

plus test results show that people who homeschooled through high school actually did better on their ACTs & in college.

  2. I don't know where you get your information from, but....

Homeschooling (for most people) has more benifits, and studies have shown that....

I'm not one though, but after coming on here I realized I'm a minority....

    =)

  3. I would like to know who "everyone" is and if they did a minutes worth of research.

There are a lot of benefits: Work at your own pace, have time for more extracurricular activity, time to volunteer in the community. Not to mention just more time in general. You don't have to put up with High School "drama,"  that's a big one.

Colleges actually recruit Home school students now. Just keep up with a portfolio of your work as well as lists of curriculum and books you use. Make sure you score well on SAT and ACT tests.

    Good luck!

  4. It's awesome. First off, you can get a better education in less time. I'm doing college-level biology and history with Teaching Company lectures, and that takes an hour a day. I read a lot for English, so I can't put a time on that; I'm a bookworm :P. I have a tutor for math and I use Rosetta Stone for German. I'm done with my work in about 2.5-3 hours. Then I have the entire day to go hang out with my friends, play World of Warcraft if I don't feel particularly social, or whatever else I want to do.

Better education, better social life. No contest.

  5. One that hasn't been listed yet... It may increase your chances of getting into a good university, as colleges tend to like homeschoolers because of their high achievements, independence, maturity (academic and social) and self-motivation.

  6. there are many benefits of homeschooling. You don't have to wake up early, you learn stuff that is worth learning and needs to be learned, you can probably focus and concentrate better, you can learn stuff that would never be taught at normal schools,it is free.
