  1. being a s*x symbol comes with the same type drawbacks as a workaholic in a powerful position. As far as I'm concerned, they are missing out on real happiness, but attention and power are very alluring emotions...

  2. I wouldn't know, but it must be awfully disabling rather than empowering. I spent much of my teenage years trying to fit the mold. I was anorexic by the time I was 12 and I spent 2 further years suffering from Bulimia.

    I never became a s*x symbol!

  3. Power.

  4. People will look at you like you're beautiful. Beautiful women can get practically whatever they want if a man has it. Although you may feel like you are being viewed just for your beauty it can be beneficial to be attractive in a sense that at least you know allot of men will fall over themselves for you. If this is not what you would want then show off some of your other attractive qualities. Physical Beauty is not everything.

  5. Probably no benefits at all except for temporary attention. It usually means years of empty relationships and hardship for the one viewed as a s*x symbol. Too many men and women have ended up tragically that were viewed thusly. ♥ ∞

  6. being admired, having power over men, getting to express and enjoy your

    own body.

  7. I guess the benefit is that you will be given a lot  of attention.  Some people like that type of attention.

No one will see you walking down a dark alley and be scared of you.

You won't bee taken seriously anyway so you can just go out and have fun.

  8. FREE STUFF!!!!

  9. Ask Brad Pitt, Will Smith, or Tom Brady.  Leo DiCaprio might remember too.

Otherwise, my guess would be that, as a s*x symbol, I would have the luxury of being able to glance up from my desk without fear of someone claiming I am sexually harassing them based upon the accidental creation of a linear plane between my own eyes and their general proximity.

  10. The obvious answer is power.  The notable drawback of any kind of "ism" is that it doesn't allow for you to function at your fullest potential.  In the case of feminism, it is taboo to use your status as a s*x symbol to manipulate men and women into action.  Men and women like s*x and the companionship of the opposite gender.  By embracing your status as a s*x symbol, you can manipulate men to do what you want with the promise of your attentions and get women to do what you want by; 1) they want to be like you and 2) they glean power by being associated with you.  All forms of power are real power in the hands of a determined and ingenuitive individual.

  11. There aren't really any I can think of except for getting noticed more. Otherwise, these women aren't taken seriously and viewed as being less intelligent and less competent.

  12. attention,   but there are way better ways to get that

  13. So that an individual who enjoys s*x can have s*x at her or his leisure.

  14. There are no benefits of being viewed as a s*x symbol by the media but it is perfectly healthy to be viewed as a s*x symbol by your husband. You should be a wife, friend, lover and...... s*x symbol. I also view my husband as a s*x symbol when I want him.

  15. none really - i'm a pretty girl and honestly is sucks sometimes because people won't take you seriously - and it's not like i dress and act like a tramp.

  16. Other than attention (wanted , but mostly unwanted) I can't really think of any.  But so some that is all they want.

  17. ewwwwwww

  18. Boosts the ego. Temporary celeb status.

  19. Getting laid a little more often than once every 3 to 5 months comes to mind.

  20. There arn't any. Unless you want every man to lust you and use you. and if you never want a serious relationship with someone who loves you for your personality.

  21. I guess you could say that "power" is a benefit of being a s*x symbol. Or at least one could see it that way. A lot of people, usually women, think that being desired by others means that they have power over them. Other than that, I can't think of any benefits. Excellent question, btw.
