What are the benefits of having a modded ps3 controller?

I no its better than a regular one but why? What does it do?

someenchancments are just aesthetic, like LEDights behind the PS button.

ALthough there are functional mods, the only one i can think of is a button that sends the R1 signal repeatedly so semi automatic weapons in games, like the G3in cod 4, can be made into fully automatic guns.

ok, the modded controller makes it so you can push buttons faster, for instance, if i was playing call of duty 4 and i was shooting the G3 (if you dont know this weapon, it shoots one bullet at a time) i would have to push the R2 button as fast as possible, but if i use the modded controller i can push the x button or the o button, and it will act as if im pushing the R2 button. so if you push x and R2 at the same time, the gun will shoot faster
