What are the benefits of scoring well on AP/IB exams?

If you perform well on the test, I heard that you get credits toward college. But does this mean that you don't have to take those courses in colleges, or that you get credits toward graduation but need to take the courses again? Details and thorough explanations are appreciated! Thanks.

  1. In my school {in New york city} the REACH program gives money for doing good on the ap tests. $500 for a 3, $750 for a 4 and $1000 for a 5.

              For your question  i think those credits are counted toward graduation and you do not need to retake the clase.

    Yes it is per exam however they don't count the ap foreign language tests.
