  2. You develope a sense of who you are as a human.

    When you interact with a person or persons you do two things, you either tell yourself "I don't want to be like these people" and you quit being around them and base yourself off what they are not...

    or you tell yourself "I enjoy these people, we understand eachother" and you continue to be with them. Having friends keeps you from going crazy and being lonely, it provides a sense of belonging and comfort. Feeling like you belong is a natural instinct and need of humans.

  6. have you ever heard of the poor rhesus monkeys?? deprived of touch and contact??? they make children with attatchment dissorder look warm and fuzzy!

    But the negatives far outweigh the positives.

  8. Learning.  Discovery.  Greater understanding of self.  Experiencing different food preparation.  Opportunity for expanding ones ability for collating the reality of the interdependence of everything in the universe.  Fun, and cooperation.
