the benefits ar less waste in our landfills.....most people do not recycle their water bottles. also, plastic bottles are a one time use and then if you start reusing them they start releasing toxins into the water you are drinking.

Even if you do recycle water bottles, it still takes energy to produce and recycle the bottle. If you don't recycle water bottles, the plastic ends up in landfills and takes forever to degrade. Recycling water bottles is better than just throwing them away, but using something that doesn't produce any waste is best.
