  1. The benefits of being a Freemason are simple. Being part of a society that has been around for hundreds of years with deep traditions. Some say they have improved as men both within themselves, their family, and in the community. You take from Freemasonry what you want. If you are joining for the wrong reasons then you will not get a lot from it.

How do I become one? The best way it to contact your local Grand Lodge, which will have a web site and should be in the phone book. Qualifications include being 18 or over (21 in some states and in the UK), you will need to believe in a Supreme Being which God you believe in does not matter. Costs do change from Grand Lodge to Grand Lodge so the best answer I can give you is to contact the Grand Lodge and ask.

  2. Benefits, its like networking you get to help your own and they get to help you in the worst of times or calamities, sickness. You'll be well known by the primary movers of the state.

to become one, you must first believe in God, then you must be of good moral character, then you must be of sound mind. Go to a nearest Masonic Lodge, time it when they are having their party and intellectual conversations and fine dining. When they meet it is always like a celebration of good life.

  3. Go to the local Freemason Lodge and tell them that you wish to join because there is no hope for the widow's son.

  4. go to any Masonic hall or lodge, knock on the door, and simply ask to join. you will be given an application and the members will 'vote' on if you shall be allowed to join.

  5. Brotherhood is the main purpose of freemasonry.  A member will have a network of many brothers around the world.

  6. The benefit is becoming a member of the world's oldest fraternity and joining with other civic minded men who wish to improve themselves.

To be a Freemason you must be a man, freeborn, of lawful age and be well recommended. You have to ask a Freemason because they are not allowed to ask you.
