What are the benifits of RSS feeds???

hi..i want to know that if i put RSS code in my webpage or blog...does my webpage automatically get visitors through search engines???

OR Does the contents due to RSS feeds come in search engines for free, when someone type matches with your RSS content???

Neither of what you mentioned, however if you submit your feed to google blog search, and other such search engines, you may actually get a few more visitors.

RSS is a child language of XML and stands for Really Simple Syndication, RSS feeds is a useful tool to keep your visitors up-to-date with the latest news and/or articles posted on your site.

RSS feeds consist of a limited collection of links or "enteries", along with a small description. People can add this feed to their RSS reader, which will allow them to easily check for updates.

If you just put an RSS feed into your website (that is, the address of a feed), you get no advantage whatsoever: you give weight tothe SOURCE of the feed, not your website.

IF, on the other hand, you MAKE your own RSS feed (that is, generate the XML feed yourself, update it every x hours), AND that users subscribe to it, you get weight in SEs.

Another "trick" is to get the CONTENTS of an RSS feed read, converted into HTML AND displayed as plain text in your site, you get a few more advantages:

1. You don't have to make your own (you just "steal" someone else's).

2. You contents is updated each time the feed changes or the SE robots visit your site: you get weight.

When someone signs on to an RSS feed, they are saying that they want to be notified of any updates to your blog.  Which means you will get more hits as they come back to it.

It sounds like you want to display an RSS feed within your HTML website. The easiest/best way to do this is to use RSS2HTML a free PHP script. This means that you can retain the complete control of the HTML layout (using templates) and make it match your existing design. Additionally using PHP rather than JavaScript will mean that search engine spiders can "spider" the contents of the RSS feeds.
