for both Canada and the UK? I was born and raised in Canada and my parents are from the UK. The idea of dual citizenship intrigues me but what are some good reasons to do or not do this?

I've checked it out and I do qualify.

  1. You can attend university in the UK and pay the fees a UK resident would pay (and not the international student fees, which are outrageously high). If you decided to immigrate to the UK, you'd be entitled to certain financial support benefits that non-citizens wouldn't be able to access.

  2. One benefit is that you wont be considired a tourist in the UK and you will have more priorities for that country.

  3. so do i, but with the US and UK. i was wondering the same thing.

  4. Do it, a UK passport entitles you to live, work, study, whatever in the UK for as long as you want, and same for the entire European Union. Plus, you can use the British government to help you whenever you're in trouble overseas (not in Canada though), and use the passport to apply for visas which are easier to get for Britons then Canadians,
