What are the best European sites to see? Known or unknown.?

Obviously, the major cities are major for a reason, such as Paris, Rome and Barcelona. I went to all three and LOVED them. For more smaller great places try Florence, Italy (and take a day trip to Pisa!) In France, there's a really cute sea-side city called Biarritz really close to the border of Spain, which is really cute and while in that area head down to San Sebastian and Bilbao, Spain. Both places have beautiful beaches and great Basque food!

great night life,

many beaches,

cheap prices,

hospitable people,

many foreign tourists (Dutch, Serbians, Israelis, Chinese among others),

delicious traditional food.

so many cultural and historic sites (365 churches, one for every day of the year, middle age fortress, place where one of the first European universities was established)...

there's also the traditional Gradiste Summer Beach Festival (the best DJs in one place), one of the best in the region and Lenny Kravitz is coming in Ohrid in August...
