The price to get into the nightclubs can be pricey

It depends on the dj, if there's any special "party" or special guests...

It can be from 15-20 to 30-35 euros...

Do a pub crawl.  They meet at the Trevi Fountain at night and wear brightly colored shirts.  you can't miss them.  20 euros, free t-shirt, great deals on booze, and you meet people from all over.

The best time I ever had in Rome was at a singing restaurant called "Tanagra". The food was excellent but the entertainment was fabulous. This is a great place to have a lot fun for dinner. The clientele is international so you'll fit right in.
