The best stocks/shares to buy would be a select choice from the top 50 or Nifty stocks.  Next you could expand the selection criteria to the top 100 stocks.

RPL is the NSE symbol for Reliance Petroleum.  Reliance petro has very good prospects if you are planning to invest in it with a long term horizon. As u rightly pointed out their operations are expected to begin during dec of this year.  So it takes atleast 2 - 3 quarters from then on for the profits to be realized.  So you should have a long term outlook in this stock.

reliance petroleum is not a good pick as of now....its good only from ocotober onwards, when its operation day nears by.......

Till then other good stocks at street prices are:-

L&T, Bhel, Punj Lloyd, Jp Associate, Reliance Industries, are among the top picks.....go ahead with this and a lot other names are also there....but these r the favs....
