What are the best TV shows for teaching kids to read?

Yes, I am aware of the irony of the question, but I am genuinely interested in education tv shows to teach phonics/reading.

  1. yup,  i say pbs. and like sesame street and that muzzy stuff, get the english if you get it and it teaches kids to read and stuff like that.

  3. Seasme Street. Is just the best children's program. Stick to PBS stuff, it really bests any other network in early childhood education.

  8. you should watch between the lions!! it was my favorite show when i was a kid and it taught me how speak properly.

  10. There is a video that I used to watch in elementary school called Reading Rainbow.

    I'm pretty sure you can find it in any library

  11. You should totally go watch Blue's Clues. Its really good at teaching kids colors, shapes, and simple names of utensils. Best of luck to you! :D:D
