why don't you go to China? The fee is more cheaper and Chinese characters are more easier.

For Chinese studies, I'd say - choose where you want to stay and then the school. In Taipei - lots of international students choose National Taiwan Normal University - Shida. A teachers school that may also give you a teaching certificate.
