  1. Kingsland Road in Hackney is generally regarded as the only place to go for Vietnamese food in London, but there are a few gems popping up elsewhere. Here a few for you to look at:

    Au Lac - http://www.london-eating.co.uk/4211.htm

    Cay Tre - http://www.london-eating.co.uk/3831.htm

    Mien Tay - http://www.london-eating.co.uk/34588.htm

    Song Que: http://www.london-eating.co.uk/2870.htm

South of the river in Deptford, Cafe East is a bit of a local secret and well worth a visit if you're in the area:

For cheap, quick food; you could try Pho - there is one in Clerkenwell and one on Great Titchfield Street.

I tried the one in W1 and, while it is cheap, it's not exactly authentic and I found the pho itself pretty bland. However, everyone else seems to love it so maybe that's just me.

There are some expert foodies on the Chowhound UK forum, and you will certainly find some good recommendations on this Vietnamese food thread:

    Enjoy! :)

  2. Song Que, as mentioned by the previous replyer is indeed the best one I've tasted in London.
