I'm looking for some place that isn't that expensive but has an assortment of activities both during the day and at night as well as more than one option for somewhere in the resort to eat.

  1. We have really enjoyed the Allegro Resort in Cozumel with our son.  Lots of activities & food choices in the resort.  Do the all-inclusive package.  We went twice, in May & October, while everyone else was home with their kids in school, so the resort was not crowded, and it was nice & quiet.

  2. The Breezes resort in Curacao is excellent. Not to mention that the island itself is a great family vacation destination.

  3. You can also try TripAdvisor.com for advice from past guests.

  4. My parents have four kids, including me the oldest. Our favorite vacation spot is Bavaro Barcelo RESORT in Punta Cana, DR. It is 5 hotels linked together to form a resort. It is all-inclusive, has many dining options, VERY good entertainment at night (game show, musical/plays), there are lots of activities for kids and adults. They even have windsurfing lessons for really cheap ($10 i think). We love it so much, we've been there 3 times!

A cheaper version of the Bavaro Barcelo is the Princess Resort. also in Punta Cana. It is very nice also, been there twice.

  7. Cuba has amazing all-inclusives and the a la carte restaurants are fabulous. But it depends on the hotel you're going to.

For a family resort, I highly recommend Hotel Tryp Cayo Coco. It's a 4-4 1/2** resort. Great food, great restaurants (a lot of variety), fun activities for all ages, excellent shows, entertainment, games, fun beach and pool activities, and great day trips. Every person of every age group is taken care of and are easily involved every day. Never a dull moment...and if you want to relax, very easy to do without interferance as well.

It's a very open and spacious layout of the resort. Take a look at the links below for the resort and Cayo Coco.

  8. We had a great time at the Sunscape in Purto Aventuras.  It is in expensive and very family friendly.
