I've been told that Johnstons wipes can cause some babies irritation and that huggies are very very soggy but that pampers sensitive are very good, any input from the mummies out there would be helpful, thankyou xxxxxx

  1. I don;t really find a difference between them all, to be honest I buy whichever are 2 for 1 in the supermarket.

  2. LIDL Cien baby wipes are really good we use them for all sorts and a good price as a bonus .....

  3. I think that Johnson's are the best but if they irritate the baby then there obv no good!! Try out different ones you'll find the ones you like best x

  4. tbh, I use the supermarkets own brand, they are just the same and I find pampers far to pricey. I would save some money and go for the cheaper ones

  5. I now buy the "Parents Choice" brand wipes by the case at Wal-Mart. They save me a lot of money, trust me they work just as good as Huggies or Pampers brand, but dont skimp on the diapers trust me, the cheap ones suck!

  6. I use the huggies brand wipes. they are thick and work great. I do not like the pampers wipes cause they are thin and just like the doller store wipes- you wipe and wipe and they seem to just smear poo  instead of wiping away. although i have used parents choice from wal-mart and they are just like the huggies. never tried johnsons wipes though. and beleive it or not i heard wipes acctually have an experation date?! so check that out b4 u stock to many. not sure how they expire but hey,

  7. I have tried quite a few different brands of baby wipes with my son... we've stuck with pampers sensitive because they are excellent... i just can't find fault with them.

I buy 6 packs of them from Morrisons for £7.49 which saves quite a lot of money compared to buying them seperately at £2.49 a pack.

  8. Well when my daughter was a baby we would either use pampers sensitive or huggies. I personally never had any trouble with either.

Have used johnsons but was not as keen.

My favourite though were tescos sensitive wipes. You can buy 3 packs for £3 and they are great. They are just like pampers sensitive just cheaper. Also use tesco's own nappies which saves me about £3 a pack of normal pampers prices

  9. first used the johnson's baby wipes as that's what people bought me but my son got a rash from them, so I tried the huggies ones, I found that they brake up while I use them (they're far too soggy) and then I decided to try the pampers and they're the ones that I use all the time now. Hope this helps

  10. I use huggies pure wipes on my son. They are lovely and thick and not overly soggy.

I used pampers wipes once with my son and i was not impressed they were thin and very soggy (and therefore cold) I had to use two at once when i had to clean my son's bottom.

  11. i hated the sensitive wipes.. they smell really odd, almost like playdoh. My twins have sensitive skin and they didnt irritate them, they just didn't do the job good and smelt funny. I LOVE Huggies Thick-n-Clean. They are not soggy but have a lot of texture to really grab the poopies.. i found the pampers ones just smeared it around a lot and i had to use a lot more wipes.. i would suggest getting a variety and then deciding which ones you like.. dont buy to much of one kind without know if you like it

  12. I used them when my son was first born but they are too much like a cloth and don't pick up much. I don't know where you live but I use the unscented ones form Wal-Mart. They are called parents choice. They work so well and are not to expensive. Good luck.

  13. I've found no difference between any of the wipes. Though none of my children have skin sensitivity issues. We use BJ's brand wipes because we have twins and choose to buy in bulk. I've used pampers and huggies wipes as well. There's really no difference other than expense.

  14. I didnt like the smell of Pampers Sensitive & I  found them rather thin. They did not irritate my 1st son but they did with my 2nd son (i got a few trial packs in Bounty Packs etc) Huggies Pure wipes are lovely & thick, they also smell great (u get a variety of pure, natural care with Aloe Vera or Cocoa Butter) Definitely my favourite be a long shot.

I find Pampers nappies keep them dry longer than Huggies but have more tendancy to leak!

    Congratulations on yr pregnancy/baby x*x

  15. Johnsons are the best, thick and safe (your fingers wont go through them) Try the pure ones. Pampers are really thin and huggies are quite good but are hard to get out of the packet.

What about simple wipes - there good too!

  16. to be honest, I found the best ones were a generic brand, I think Teddy's Choice they were called.  They were thick, not soggy, came in an unscented/hypoallergenic option.  With pampers wipes, I love the easy dispense system (sorry forget what it's called) but I found them so thin that I used 2 at a time.

  17. I agree with you on those branded wipes you mentioned - Johnsons wipes irritated my son, Huggies are quite wet, although they are quite good. I settled on Pampers sensitive mostly. The other good one is Simple.

At a push, or when finances ruled, I also used store own fragrance free ones, they were OK as well.

My faves, though, were either the Simple wipes or the Pampers.

  18. With my newborns i always just used cotton wool and warm water, i think its the best thing. As they get older, yes i agree that Pampers sensitive are very good. Huggies wipes are not good at all, they are too small, thick and wet.

  19. wow, you've had loads of answers already, but i agree with you. i have tried other wipes, but always gone back to pampers sensitive. i think they are the best by far. keep stocking up!!!

  20. When my son was an infant, the Pampers Sensitive wipes were the only ones I would use.  Now I just get the generic ones at BJs - they are cheaper and they work great.

  21. Huggies r way better! Their nappies r also better! Pampers tend to leak.

  22. there is really no difference i only used the sensitive wipes on my son for the first couple of weeks then i switched to hypoallergenic alcohol free Walmart or Sam's club wipes it just isn't worth the extra money to buy the expensive ones when i get a large box for only $12
