What are the best bathtub toys for toddlers?

My 2 year old has this little basketball goal with suction cups on the back so it sticks to the side of the bathtub.  It came with 3 little happy basketballs that can squirt water.  I think it's made by Little Tikes.  He loves it.

I strongly advise against anything that holds water, like bowls and cups, because your little one will eventually decide to dump it over the side of the tub.  Then you'll be scambling for towels to mop up the huge puddle on the floor so it won't be slippery when bath time is over.  I learned that one the hard way.

My kids liked plastic squeeze toys that they could squirt. Then I saw that gross black mold was growing inside the things, yuck! We get a few new ones when we go to a dollar store, and toss them after two weeks or so. A rubber duck or balls, anything that floats - great. We punched a few holes in the bottom of a margerine tub... they love to "make it rain".

A sponge and baby wash can be pretty cool, you can squish the soapy sponge and make a ton of bubbly foam, our kids love being covered in the foam and being "bubble monsters" and it gets them clean too!

my daughter loves the bathtub crayons and the foam letters that stick to the wall. She also has this little fishing set with a net and floating fish that she likes to play with. She liked it so much we have to bring it with us when we go into the pool too.

My boys loved to play with a big cup, boats, anything that they enjoy playing with that's safe to go into the tub should be fine.

my son is only 1 , but he loves the duckie, and a plkastic bowl...

but my nephew is 3 years old and he LOVES the paint crayon soaps...he can draw all over the bathtub and it washes off easliey (its just soap)

he also loves the basketball that he can dunk in the tub...
