What are the best beach towns in england?

preferably towns where I can camp out near on the eastern shores maybe by newcastle, or anywhere really :)

The best areas are on the south coast Devon, Dorset etc. East coast tends to be colder!!!

The best coastlines with nice cities close by are in WALES.

Research Swansea and the Gower Pensinsular - here you've got everything you need - town - campsites - beaches - Uni - closer to London than many other coast towns etc
