I don't understand all the terminology that comes with blank cd's, I do know Phillips is a good brand maybe? If you could help with what all the letters & number mean on blank cd's that would be a bonus also are there any good websites to purchase good cheap packs of blank cd's, preferably Australia websites unless the postage fee is cheap from international websites?

  1. A few days ago I just went to a local store and picked up a cheap pack of CD's and they work very well and can hold a lot of songs. I recommend just going to a store then you wouldn't even have to worry about shipping or anything.

  2. they are all pretty much the same. they are available as cd-r  which means writable cd's and they come  as either normal discs or as printable ( you can print a label on the disc with a compatible printer ) or lightscribe ( you can print on the disc using a lightscribe capable drive ) but the disc is the same. just stay away from the cheaper brands and go with ones like sony or TDK. you can buy them at any electronics store that carries computers  / or at blankDVDsupermarket.com.au

  3. If you want MAXIMUM COMPATIBILITY. Use CD-R this is the FIRST TYPE of recordable CD and works the best with Most Players / Recorders. You will also need to keep the Speed Rating as compatible as possible as well for the best burn. 10x, 12x, 20x ( The other types can cause problems on reading. Although, other types are becoming more compatible every day. (CD + R, CD - RW, CD + RW)

P.S. Most people today run into problems with the type of program used for burning (Use a well known program like NERO®, EZ CD Creator® or TOAST®) OR the type of file put on the disc (An MP3 file on a disc that needs to be an AIFF file)

    Hope This Helps.

    Good-Luck!!
