well it differs VERY MUCH. some brands make better kinds of boards than others. for example. burton makes a better park board than ride. burton doesnt make a good freeride board though. but ride does. so if your looking for a freeride board you would go with ride but if you were looking for a park board you would go with burton

p.s. i made up all the stuff about burton and ride with their park and freeride boards. it was just an example

salomon boards have awesome graphics and are very good for park riding and have great flex. if youre look for something expensive and not flexible at all you might go with burton so id suggest salomon
