  1. Normally, I'd recommend trying a number of different types of ammo to see which offers the best accuracy in your gun. However, the very nature of the Ruger LCP dictates that you're not going to be looking for 25-yd accuracy. I've had mine now for about four months, and I'm very pleased with what it can do. At 10 yards I can easily keep all my shots on a 6" paper plate. I wouldn't ask for more from a self-defense gun like this. And, I don't think that experimenting with different ammo loads is going to significantly improve on that accuracy.

I do my practice with the cheapest 90gr FMJ I can find (usually CCI Blazer), but for carry, it's loaded with 7 rounds of Federal 90gr Hydra-Shok. I use the Hydra-Shok loads in all my defense handguns. I just think it is the best bullet available for that purpose, regardless of caliber.

  2. I've put over 500 flawless rounds through mine. It seems to eat up and spit out everything I throw at it. Winchester, PMC, Magtech, Fiocchi, Remington UMC, Remington Guardian Gold, Hydro Shocks. Doesn't matter it likes them all. If you find something it doesn't like, please let me know.

  3. Try a few differnt types/brands out. See what feeds and gives the best accuracy. Wal-Mart or other discount stoe is the first stop. Or Gunshop.
