My personal credit is good. The only thing I worry about is having a newly created business.

  1. It really depends on what you mean. Like the other response said, if your business is new, you're not likely to get a credit card without a personal guarantee.

But a personal guarantee does not mean that the business credit card gets reported against your personal credit - it only gets reported on your business credit. If you default on the business credit, you have a longer grace period, too, up to 90 days I believe, before it gets reported to the bureaus - more than enough time to rush and make the required payments.

In fact, business credit is one of the best ways to improve your access to credit lines without affecting your personal credit score.

    Hope that helps,

  2. Usually business cards will be given on your personal credit rating the first time around.  You can apply as a business once your business has some established credit.

There are differences between business credit cards and personal credit cards which you can read about here:

  3. If your business does not have an established credit history, you are unlikely to get any credit card without a personal guarantee.
