What are the best cars for gas millage?

I'm looking for something sporty but not too sporty. More along the lines of a Solara Coupe but with better gas millage.

the best car for gas millage is a nissan hybrid you can put in gas have a full tank and u will have that gas for 3 month and if that's to much money to buy a hybrid buy a v6 engine car there cheap and save gas alot

Prius are nice but they dont look sporty to me. If you want something sort of sporty you should try like a Honda Accord or Civic. They have pretty good mileage and have a sporty look depending on the year.

the new civic gets like 35 IN TOWN.. which is insane for a car that is not a hybrid! Hybrid would be a great choice BUT they are pretty expensive!! Keeping up on reg maintenance will always help with gas millage a lot of the things you can do yourself instead of paying some one an arm and a leg to do so.. and in my opinion, ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION!!!   Mechanics work off of commission, even if they don't fix something on your car they can charge you for it, they can judge who knows about cars and who doesn't fortunetlly my father was a mechanic for 18 years.. sorry got a little off topic but yeah... honda civic and toyota corolla and both good on gas and pretty sporty.. good luck

Smart cars get like 70MPG, lol.

But in all honesty, any small 4 cylinder car should get decent gas mileage, as long as it isn't a heavy car.

Toyota Prius, and a Slug Bug. alot of people do not like slug bugs, so i do not know if you will get a slug bug, but for my starter car i am going to get either a slug bug or a toyota prius.
