Smart consumers do their own research and saves money by not hiring a broker.

Check out the 2008 buyers guide of Consumer Reports.  That is a good start.  Consumer reports also give you advice on how to negotiate a deal.

Also check out www.edmunds.com for consumer reviews on all vehicle.  That website will also help you in knowing what you should pay for your vehicle.

I could give some recommendation (for no charge) if I knew what type of vehicle you were looking for.
