What are the best co-op games for PS3?

My mate & I just purchased PS3's each and love co-op games. Are there any games where we can play co-op? Also, can we hook up online (ie - play from our own houses and still play co-op)?

Haze has online coop but its c**p.

Army of Two is average, it has online coop though.

The best two games for coop are upcoming:

Mercenaries 2, which comes this sunday.

Looks awesome to begin with.

And your friend can jump dirctly into your game, online form a different building.

Resistance 2 which comes out this November has a completely seperate co op story which has 8 player online and offline.
