There's a place called The Talking Stick on Ocean Park in Santa Monica. Free WiFi. Good drinks (try the Priate Chai)...wait. Just checked their website and seems they're moving to Venice. No new address on their website.

There's 2 other places in Santa Monica worth trying: Unurban (Pico and Urban, across the street from Trader Joe's) and Novel Cafe (the one off of Main and Pier). Novel has great food and drinks and a good vibe, but you have to pay for WiFi.
