What are the best colleges to attend in the GTA for Engineering?

Question

In The Greater Toronto Area of Ontario Canada, which schools would you say have the better level of recognition when it comes to employment in the Engineering and Design environments.

I don't know about the employment part, but you could look into York University, Ryerson University...maybe University of Toronto. I find those get a lot of notice, and I see it a lot on the resumes of people  who have great jobs in other fields.

I also very much like McGill in Montreal and UBC in Vancouver, but they're both a long and very long ways away.

Most other schools which offer engineering degrees in Canada have much poorer recognition. When selecting a school, pay particular attention to the strenght of the graduate programs as this will be a very good indicator of the quality of the R&D programs doen there. Whatever program you study, plan to get an MS.
