  1. Black, Grey or Navy. Wear smart comfortable shoes (high if you can walk in them as they make your posture better). A suit is always best but if like me you struggle to find a jacket to fit across your b***s then there are some great long jumper tops with shirt collars in the shops at the minute that look really smart with a waist-cinching belt and hand bag.

Do NOT wear anything bright, unless you are going for an interview for a creative position, whereas in that case just wear some funky accessories to show your personality.

My sister is an operational manager for a conference centre and recently took some interviews where 3 people in a row came in wearing bright red cardigans! She was in such total disbelief that she actually went online to see if Gok Wan had been promoting them the night before! (He hadn't) Ha ha. Needless to say none of them got the job.

  2. Lol here's something a bit cliche in the fashion world... It's how you wear it.

Most colours are fine, it just depends on the intensity of the colour and what your wearing with it say like you chose some yellow shirt add like a bracelet or a necklace or both and dont wear any other bright colours so you dont look OTT.

One bright colour is fine in a small amount and it will get you noticed... without showing flesh, it also shows personality which makes a great first impression with a smile =)

  3. Black if it is an undertakers or bright colours if it is a holiday camp.

Get the idea, the type of job says it all.

  4. The best is navy. I think the worst would be any pastel color.

  5. try navy,

    the worst is black.

  6. blue,brown yellow

  7. I'd say something business-like is best for an interview. Black and grey are quite safe, as is a navy blue colour.

I'd steer clear of bright colours like yellow, green and pink.

Then again, if the interview is to be a clown, it might be better to wear bright colours!

  8. There is no best or worst colour its how you use it. Never a good idea to wear a bright pink tracksuit, but wear a slimline black tailored suit with a bright pink blouse underneath and you'll turn heads. Dark brown with a pastel coloured shirt, either a pink or maybe blue. As long as the bold statement colours are just accent colours teamed with a more neutral colour any will go.

  9. Sober colours, nothing garish.
