Actually what I'm trying to do is simply replace just the two 6&1/2inch speakers in the front doors. I already have a sub woofer so I don't need base, I'm really looking for more of the foreground sound so as to balance out the base and the rest of the song. What would be the best quality speakers I can buy for that application?

PS: I could have just as easily gone to crutchfield to find the answer but I want a professional opinion.

  1. A few fairly inexpensive and reliable speakers and component sets are Infinity, Polk, Focal, Alpine Type S or R, MB Quart, RE Audio, and Rockford Fosgate.

    Good luck!

  2. Any 3way speakers with a descent amount (say 50 RMS watts or above) watts should do the trick.  Since you already got a subwoofer then turn the bass down on the regular speakers. That way when you crank it, it wont start getting distorted from the bass.  Just adjust the EQ for mostly mid and high.

Crutchfield is my favorite website for reference. I bought a system and got some a free dash kit, so it turned out cheaper even with shipping.

  3. you can find component sets for any car and budget but with most you will need to hook them to an external amp to get the best out of the set.  polk  mb quart, rockford alpine all good sets just no audiobahn please.

  4. Alpine...Still voted #1 in car audio---See for yourself.
