What are the best dating/personals websites?

A few years ago I used faceparty - but it looks like it's invite only now...

myspace seems full of teens... and isn't really a dating site, I'm in my 30s looking for something with the 20/30/40 somethings...

a lot of the others I've looked seem to charge, but I'd rather have a look around and don't know if it's worth paying...

any recommendations?

  1. do not get any chat line becase you can get n to touble,

do not do what i did  your frind, janet,

  2. www.okcupid.com

  3. All dating sites have pros and cons!   All bars have pros and cons!  All churches have pros and cons!  It doesn't matter where you look you will get pros and cons!    I think Match, Yahoo, Singleparentmeet, and American Singles don't charge to have a profile and to look until you want to start chatting.

  4. I like eHarmony.

    1. They don't display your info to everyone -- only your matches.

    2. They've got some kind of matching algorithm that seems to work.

    3. They let you get to know your matches in about 5 stages starting with the safest and most restricted, to full open communication.  Let's you screen your matches safely.

    5. It does cost some money but they often have 2-months-for-the-cost-of-one type deals if your patient enough to wait for them.

    6. There's a long questionnaire when joining to help them find your matches.

    7. You can restrict the geographic area to be as close or as far as you are willing to go

  5. don't use dating websites you don't know if the person is really who they say they are and you should find someone you like that  lives near you or you have known a long time

  6. ur idea is not that cool.. dating someone from a chatroom is.. ahhhrgh.. its up to u.. u'r a full grown man..

www.icq.com.. visit the 20 or 30 or 40 age... its a crowded chatroom especially when weekends.. so goodluck..

by the way, this one also..

www.person.com -warning: some people there are dirty.. but most of the people there got cam..

    again.. goodluck.

  7. www.match.com

    www.passion.com

    www.myyearbook.com <and u can click on match>

  8. um idk why dont you find real people that you meet in person and NOT online.

  9. Match.com

    Yahoo personals

These 2 will let you sign up and look around, but once you want to start participating you have to pay a fee.

  10. I have had alot of good experiences with the dating sites listed on http://flinghotties.com

  11. I don't know where you live, but I met my husband on Louisvillemojo.com. It's free. I know for a fact that the same website runs sister sites in other major cities, I know they have one in Chicago. Go there and look around, I think it's at the bottom of the screen where they have other sites located. by the way, there's nothing wrong with dating someone you met on the Internet. Yes there are a lot of liars, but that's why you MEET them in person (in a public place) and get to know them. Sometimes it works out, sometimes not. Just like real life you know? Duh.
