I've got to drive people to B&Bs and rehearsal rooms and find places on industrial estates ( not necessarily in the centre of town ). I'm used to using AZ atlases in GB, but can't find them for ROI.

  2. I guess you'll want to access them in the car so google may not be much use to you.

The best maps for Ireland are definitely the ones produced by the Ordnance Survey, followed by the AA maps and then Harper Collins.

You can get them at Easons, or online from the link below or directly from the publishers. Some of the bigger petrol stations stock them too.  The spiral bound AA atlas of Ireland is about as close as you'll come to an A-Z, but it has very little detail for the towns. I would go with the OS city plans and an AA Ireland Atlas. They're not hugely expensive.

If you're going to invest in a GPS, Garmin have the most detailed maps for Ireland, way better than TomTom, but make sure you get the most up-to-date ones.
