  1. i owuld have to agree with lane below. i have a pair of alpinestars tech boots also and they are great. i have ate it a couple of times and im glad i had em.

  2. fox make crappy boots, I have had them, they fall to bits and are uncomfortable.

Alpinestars are really good so are Sidi.

  3. if you like ones that stop above your ankles, the thor 50/50 are pretty d**n cool.

  4. Why limit yourself to just those two mfg's?

Gaerne makes a great boot in the SG10.  Sidi also makes a great boot.  Both are very comfortable but a bit pricey.

  5. alpinestar tech 10 boots!!  i owned tech 8, 9, and about to buy the 10's.  Alpinestar is just better quality overall.

EDIT: To the guy who likes ankle boots.... Yeah you DO NOT want dirt bike boots that stop right above the ankle, that just eliminates the whole point of having boots. hah the reason for them to go up high is so you dont break your ankle when you fall.  If they stop right above it you can still twist your ankle pretty easily.  So thats just a waste of money.

SIDI makes some good boots too, a friend of mine has some street bike SIDI's and they look nice. Dunno how comfy they are.

  6. You can look like everybody else or do better.  Suggest knee-high logger boots by Red Wing.  You'll want the nailed soles

if you're serious about off-road footing and stomping other bikers in brawls.  Most of leg guards never stay in place for long and exist because the protection value of biker boots

isn't high enough.  Red Wing brown leather logger boots are good to go without the crappy guards.  I'm partial to the Red

Wing Forestry Firefighter Model myself.  I ride hot.
