Labs are friendly with other dogs. I had a Great Dane she LOVED other dogs! But she was a large breed (obviously) although an AWESOME breed! i miss her so much :(

You can never go wrong with a Golden Retriever - they love everybody.  Also, Labs are great friendly dogs as well.  However, they are large breed dogs, meaning they are over 50 pounds at adulthood.  To accommodate this problem, maybe you can check out your local shelter or rescue organization or go to http://www.petfinder.com and search for Golden's or Labs.  If you can find one that is mixed with a smaller breed, you will have a smaller Golden or Lab.  The only other mid-size dog I can think of that is friendly with people and other dogs is a Beagle or Cocker Spaniel, though unlike a Golden or Lab, there is a chance they may not be as friendly with other dogs if you get them as an adult rather than a puppy.  Either way, good luck:-)

Labs, definately.  I have a German Shepherd and a Siberian Husky, and both can be very territorial around other dogs, but my black lab loves everything and everyone.

brittany spaniels, german shorthaired pointers, english springer spaniels, to name a few.   Not really any of the terriers, as a general rule (they can be, but not generally, or they might be too domineering).  Any dog can be really great with other dogs though, as long as they are properly socialized.  I would put boxers, dobermans, amstaffs, GSD's, rotties, mastiffs, more likely towards the end of not so dog friendly.

My golden retrievers are very friendly toward other dogs.

On the smaller size, my sister's Cavalier King Charles spaniels are very dog friendly.

We have family members with whippets and greyhounds and they are also very dog-friendly.

There are lots of dog-friendly breeds.
