I have looked at most of the obvious (Sesame Street, Noggin, etc.) but am looking for something that I can interact with my little girl and have her learn to use the computer and other fun things (colors, numbers, etc.)

Thanks

  1. www.pbskids.org (boombah-sesame street-curious george-clifford-cayou-mr.rogers-reading rainbow)

As a Kindergarten teacher, I use this in my literacy/computer center

    www.starfall.com (letters and sounds)

    www.kidscom.com (ages 4-15)

  2. You MUST check out this website!

    www.starfall.com

It's an excellent preschool website to learn ABC's, numbers, etc.

It gradually moves the child from learning letter sounds to reading 3 letter words, all the way to small stories.

It's all done in a really fun way and your little girl can practice using the mouse here too.

I use it with my 3 1/2 year old son and he's already reading many words and knows all his letter sounds mostly from this website.

I'm sure you will both enjoy it. Start first by clicking on the ABC's section.

  3. there's this really nice easy to use software at www.paxtoncat.com its called My ABCD and its really neat my 2 and a half year old son loves it and can use the comp with ease. Another cool site is www.boowakwala.com its got games and really cool songs apart from other things.there's also www.kneebouncers.com which is okay.Try My ABCD its got a trial period for 14 days after which you need to register but i think its totally worth it.you can download it to your PC.

    Hope this is helpful.
