I'm going to Queens and Manhattan in June and I was wondering about some good places to eat. Especially small, hole in the wall, ethnic restaurants. Unique stuff, you know? Thanks!

  1. well there's this amazingg indian-chinese restarant in queens and like here http://www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com/bigma...

thats their menu and a pic fro the outside.

    here's the address

    39-23 Queens Boulevard (39th Street)

    Sunnyside, NY 11104-3305

  2. I highly recommend New York Noodletown on the Bowery just south of the Manhattan Bridge.

It's not exactly unknown. Years ago, Ruth Reichle reviewed it for the New York Times. But it IS sort of a hole in the wall! I love it! Great noodle soups! Wonderful roast pork!

  3. its not hole in the wall but I love TAO- great Chinese and cool atmosphere....kinda $$$.

  4. In Queens there are alot of good ethnic restaurants and not too expensive.  Good mexican restaurants in jackson hgts and woodside, middle eastern and greek in astoria.

  5. the dimsum places in Chinatown

  6. La Taz D'Oro in Chelsea on Eighth Avenue and 15th Street - a hole-in-the-wall Puerto Rican luncheonette with different things on the menu every day and the best rice and beans.  Try Del Valle Mexican restaurant in h**l's Kitchen on Tenth Avenue and 48th Street.  The food's great, prices are unbelievable, but the service can be slow.
