Forget excursions, unless you just want to go on a cat or boat that offers free drinks, and just go on your own to the beach, then stop at the straw market before you get back on ship.

I have been on 3 Nassau cruises.

The first one we did the Black beards Cay with  stingray snorkel (we did this the weekend before Steve Irwin was killed) Loved the beach but did not like the sting ray part. The snorkel equipment was nasty. Also I recommend skipping the lunch it came with, not very tasty.

2nd time we did the Seahorse snorkel. We took a catamaran out to a lovely area and after a short lesson spent almost an hour in the water. It was warm and fantastic. The snorkel equipment was in great condition and plenty of sizes to choose from. On the return trip they turned up the "boom box" and passed out the run punch. Defiantly tasty. Try to board in first group on because that's how you scope out your place on the trips to and from. Definitely would do this one again.

3rd time. Yellow-bird Party Boat. Exactly what it is. All adults, no one under 18, Rum punch starts before the boat leaves the dock and only stops when we reach the island to play in the surf, ironically the same beach from the Blackbeard Cay excursion. Return trips is copious amount of rum punch and dancing, conga lines and limbo. Fantastic time, and if you drink its a great bargain at $38, which pays for itself after 7 rum punch
